Terms of service
Short, and written to be read. These are the terms a repair visit is carried out under.
Who we are
Loretto Cold Service is an independent appliance repair company. We are not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by Sub-Zero or its parent company. All brand names and model numbers are the property of their respective owners and are used only to identify the appliances we service.
Loretto Cold Service is a mobile refrigeration repair business operating in Mandarin, Jacksonville, FL. We service Sub-Zero refrigeration appliances only. We do not service other manufacturers, and we do not service cooking appliances, laundry appliances or dishwashers.
The diagnostic visit
A visit is booked at a flat fee of $129. That fee covers attending the property, testing the appliance and reporting what is wrong. It is payable whether or not a repair follows, and it is credited in full against the cost of the repair if you instruct us to proceed.
We need reasonable access to the appliance and to the electrical supply and water supply serving it. Where an appliance is built into cabinetry, moving it may require removing trim or lifting a countertop overhang; we will tell you before we do anything of that kind, and we will not proceed without your agreement.
Estimates
You get a written estimate before any part is ordered or any labour begins. An estimate is based on what the diagnosis found. If a further fault is discovered once work begins — which happens most often on appliances that have been apart before — work stops and you get a revised estimate before anything else is done.
You may decline any estimate. If you do, the appliance is reassembled to the state in which we found it, so far as is safe, and nothing beyond the diagnostic fee is owed.
Parts and warranty
Genuine OEM parts are used. Parts we supply and fit are warranted for 365 days from the date of the repair, and our labour is warranted for 90 days.
The warranty covers the part we supplied and the work we did. It does not cover a subsequent unrelated failure, damage from a power event, damage from misuse, or a fault arising from the water supply, the electrical supply or the installation itself where those were reported to you and not corrected.
Where we recommend work that you decline, and the appliance later fails for that reason, that failure is not covered.
Appointments
Appointments are made within the working hours published on the contact page. We do not offer a 24-hour or emergency call-out, and we do not claim to. If you need to change or cancel a visit, telephone as early as you reasonably can.
Payment
The diagnostic fee is due at the visit. The balance of a repair is due on completion of the work. Where a part must be ordered, we will tell you at the time of the estimate whether a deposit against that part is required.
Limits
Our responsibility is limited to the repair we carried out and the parts we supplied. We are not responsible for the loss of food or other contents, for consequential loss, or for the condition of an appliance before we attended it. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under Florida law that cannot lawfully be limited.
Trade marks
Sub-Zero and any model designations are the property of their respective owners. They are used on this site only to identify the appliances we service, which is a descriptive use and not a claim of affiliation. No manufacturer logo, typeface or colour scheme is used anywhere on this site.
